Lambson Building Products was originally set up in 1969, by the Lambson Group, with the sole purpose of manufacturing coated plywood panels for use in the construction industry. Lambson Building Products has evolved rapidly and by the turn of the century was established as one of the UK’s top supplies of plywood products to the caravan and marine leisure markets.
To support Lambson’s through their growth DCE have been selected as a key supplier installing dust extraction systems, which with the latest installation provide the site with over 150,000m3/hr of dust extraction capability.
Waste at the Castleford site is separated with all timber dust blown to box cart collection and removed from site for recycling and plastic edge banding dust and chips discharged in to 1 Ton collection bags again to be recycled.
Over half a kilometer of galvanized clip and flanged ductwork has been installed at the site providing a network of extraction to the various timber cutting and profiling machinery.
Modular timber filtration systems have been adopted which comprise of galvanized panel constructed filter and waste inlet sections offering future expansion capability.
Collected waste material within the filters is transferred with “drag link” conveyors and discharged through rotary valve discharge points for pneumatic waste transfer to the onsite “Box Carts”.
